One of many constants within the landscape will be the Japanese mid-size sedan. The Nissan Altima is among the most widely known within this portion. Since the late 80's customers have flocked with their models due to their quality, consistency and re-sale value. The actual issue this is how does the 2012 Nissan Altima build up to its competition?On the surface the 2012 Altima has notably dated, but pleasant styling. There is an obvious absence of such functions as fender vents, projector headlights or LED tail lamps. More careful buyers may think this is good. The Altima appears just how most mid-size sedans have always looked; smooth but with nothing that makes it distinctive available in the market place.On the inside the Altima isn't too interesting to consider but the materials are of a superb quality. Our test vehicle had good suede-like materials on the arm rests on the centre console and the opportunities. The couch is confident with a great selection of change. The bunch and rush search dated weighed against lots of the new records in this portion. While the quality of components is great the hardware is out-dated. One of many worst examples may be the non-graphic low-resolution screen for the radio, this product is on all models maybe not designed with navigation. Speed on our 175 hp 2.5L 4 tube design was poor, probably largely as a result of CVT automatic transmission. While known for returning outstanding fuel-economy in the town the CVT isn't known for effectiveness. Managing is sharp and well-composed but the Altima remains wonderful to guide at low rates. The Nissan requires sides very well, better than many cars is this class. Cottage noise levels are average for a vehicle with this school. The engine gets a bit loud when forced under acceleration. Over all it have to be said that the Altima still thinks somewhat more reliable that its Korean or American competition.The bottom line: The Nissan Altima is still an excellent car, but with strong competition via all sides Nissan needs to price the car aggressively.
